Psalm 63

Good Morning “All Day Meditators On the Word.  Today we are in Psalm 63.

David writes this Psalm while he was in the Judean wilderness.  Pay close attention, it parallels Jesus’ time in the wilderness, leading up to His being tempted by Satan.  Look past the Judean desert… there is more here.  Both David and Jesus’ strength for survival came from Gods Word - not food and water.

“Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.” Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” Matthew‬ ‭4‬:‭1‬-‭4‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“Becausee your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭63‬:‭3‬-‭5‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Our lesson is clear!  Study, apply, let The Word of God be our strength!  Meditate on it day and night!

“Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”
‭‭Joshua‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word. I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119‬:‭9‬-‭11‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Gods Word is POWERFUL!  We must thirst for it!  Long for it!  Hang on to it, live it and teach it to all we know.  Check out Deuteronomy 6:6-7

Love you all!  Dig in!
