Psalm 65

Good Morning “Inspired In Awe.”  Today we are in Psalm 65.

Through David, God reminds us of His intimate care and Sovereignty.  Our world, at times seems to be spinning out of control.  Natural disasters appear to come out of nowhere.  The Truth, however; is just the opposite.  The God who created it all (Isaiah 40:12), holds it all in His hand (Psalm 95:4-5), and brings about each measure like a conductor of a perfectly tuned orchestra (Psalm 65)!  Isn’t it beautifully amazing?  Can we truly even begin to wrap our mind around it all?

If we could, dare I say we would demonstrate more excitement toward the offer of relationship and service under such a King. Just imagine being offered a position which allowed you to serve the King of Kings, Lord of Lords, The God who spoke it all into existence without breaking a sweat (Genesis 1, Psalm 33:9).  We would rush to serve such a King, purposing just to be in His presence, just to be near!

The offer is there.  Like the Disciples “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” Matthew‬ ‭4‬:‭19‬ ‭NIV‬‬

They too struggled at times to realize that serving Him is not a burden, but a privilege.  They too struggled at times to really settle in to His incredible strength and power (Matthew 8:26-27).

We serve a Savior Who, in a moment’s time, can cause raging storms to become still and silent!  It is one thing to put the Scribes and Pharisees in their place with a profound Bible argument.  But to control the weather?  Manipulate the waters?  The passenger in the disciples’ boat was none other than God, Himself.  He was God made flesh.  (John 1:1-5; 14)  And He is that same God Who not only saves us but also promises never to leave or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5); Emanuel, God with us! (Matthew 1:21-23)

Don’t miss out on the PRIVILEGE!  Love you all!  Dig in!
