Psalm 33

Good Morning “New Song Singers.”  Today we are in Psalm 33.

“Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise him.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭33‬:‭1‬ ‭NIV‬‬

This Psalm of David starts with what we might compare to our church Worship Teams.  We open in worship, proclaiming Gods Goodness preparing our hearts to receive what He has for us as we dig into His Word.

In this Psalm what is David proclaiming?  Check it out… He seems to be proclaiming John 1 to us before Jesus ever physically comes on the scene.

“By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭33‬:‭6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.” John‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬-‭3‬ ‭NIV‬‬

So intimate is the relationship God shares with The Son Jesus and The Holy Spirit that “The Word”, Jesus, is also equated with the “breath of God.”  Wait did God speak it into existence by the breath of His mouth… or was it through “The Word” Jesus?  Yes!  Right!  Now you got it!

Remember The Bible is one story, from Genesis to Revelation.  It’s the story of Gods Glory reflected through Jesus and His offer of redemption to man through His Blood shed on The Cross.

“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son…” John‬ ‭1‬:‭14‬

Love you all!  Dig in!
