Good Morning “Hard Working Above Reproach-ers.” Today we are in Psalm 64.
David’s enemies are working hard to plot their schemes, and spread their lies. The evil one is always at work (1 Peter 5:8). He never rests.
He and the way he works through the deceived are more powerful than we are… alone that is! But with God, there is no battle at all!
“But God will shoot them with his arrows; they will suddenly be struck down. The righteous will rejoice in the Lord and take refuge in him; all the upright in heart will glory in him!” Psalms 64:7, 10 NIV
We must realize we are in a war for our souls. The evil one and those he deceives work hard, plotting to destroy. They are tireless. What is our defense? We must work just as hard building and growing our relationship with The Lord - through service. We must not grow weary (Galatians 6:9). He offers us all of the strength and protection David came to know, but it comes as the fruit of our close intimate relationship with Jesus.
We must humbly admit we cannot be victorious on our own and press in. The best defense is a good offense. He must be our #1. Live so far away from “the line” of good and evil that accusers look silly. Guess what? As we live accordingly, giving Him our priority and purposing to live according to His Word - our reputation will care of its self (1 Peter 2:11-17).
Love you all! Dig in!
