Good Morning “Ransomed.” Today we are in Job 33.
Elihu comes at Jobs situation with more impartiality than Jobs other friends. He puts the 3 in their place for finding no specific fault with Job, yet accusing. When he turns to Job, he checks Job up for his self righteous claims. We know Job is later rebuked by God for his questioning the Sovereignty of God.
Eliphaz received a word for Job from “a spirit” (Job 4) never claiming it was God. Job condemns all his friends for speaking words from the evil one. Elihu on the other hand clearly claims a Word from The Spirit of God. He is never corrected either by the writer of Job or God Himself when He rebukes Jobs 3 friends, and Job.
As we get to verses 23-28, check out the description of the redemption process through a ransom paid for sin (vs 24). We know this ransom as Jesus (Matthew 20:28, 1 Timothy 2:5-6, Ephesians 1:7) His blood shed on the cross for our sins paid the full ransom, (wages) required for our sin (Romans 6:23). He goes on to describe our expectation to tell The World about Him (Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 1:8)
God has always beckoned us into relationship with Him through The Savior!
Love you all! Dig in!
