Psalm 20

Good Morning “Those Who Know Where to Turn.”  Today we are in Psalm 20.

Some insist on learning the hard way.  It could be said that David had a few of those moments… we all do.  Occasionally I have a student, or an adult say something like… “Why can’t I just figure it out on my own!  You made your mistakes, let me make mine.”  Maybe you’ve thought or even said something similar yourself…

You know how crazy that sounds?
(Proverbs 1:7)

Mistakes are to be learned from, grown from.  They often come with horrible consequences.  Why would anyone choose to learn the “hard way” when The God who Loves us so much He gave us Jesus, laid out for us a Way that is so much smoother?  (Matthew 11:28-30)

He’s given us His Word, 66 books of Love.  He’s given us The Holy Spirit who lives in us from the moment of Salvation and promises to use The Word to teach, convict, change, guide, lead, comfort, encourage etc etc (1 Corinthians 3:16, John 14:26).

If that isn’t enough, God has surrounded us with those who have gone before, been there done that - succeeded and failed. He uses them and their experiences to help instruct us.  Each of us has wisdom for the taking.  We only need seek it and not let our pride cause us to reject it (Proverbs 19:20).

Where do you turn?  Gods given us everything we need (2 Peter 1:3).  What do you place your trust in?  Who do you follow, listen to, seek wise advice from?

“Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭20‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

His Way is always best.  Love you all!  Dig in!
