Good Morning “Sustained In Every Way.” Today we are in Job 39.
““Do you know when the mountain goats give birth? Do you watch when the doe bears her fawn? Do you count the months till they bear? Do you know the time they give birth?” Job 39:1-2 NIV
As God puts Job in his place He makes it quite clear, He is completely aware of, sustains and provides for all living creatures. Like the conductor of a giant orchestra, He causes each to breathe, give life, eat, fly, and go about their day on perfect cue. He does it all with perfection. Perfect righteousness, perfect justice, and perfect grace. I don’t know about you, by I struggle at times just to organize my day with efficiency, ha ha. How dare we question God? His ways are beyond our ability to fathom (Romans 11:33).
We spend much of our lives worrying about things that frankly are not within our ability to Truly control. He is in control.
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?” Matthew 6:25 NIV.
Jesus continues, much like God in this chapter, to point out the birds and the flowers of the field - how well they are cared for. If He cares so well for the flowers and birds how much more for us? He knows what we need even before we ask (Matthew 6:8).
He concludes by saying, “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
Matthew 6:33 NIV. He goes on to remind us not to worry about tomorrow… today’s got enough worry of its own.
Love you all! Dig in!
