2 Corinthians 11

Good Morning “Discerners of Fake-ness”.  Let’s check our 2 Corinthians 11.

Here Paul is addressing several things.  Among them is the fact that some within their midst are talking the talk but they are not walking the walk.  On the outside they have the appearance of Godliness, but on the inside their hearts are not in it.  They have thus then become tools for the evil one.  “And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭11‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ ‭NIV‬‬

We are so easily swayed by “churchy”, “spiritual” words spouted at just the right time.  But what does the life exhibit?  What do you get to see… we have to be careful.  We need to be careful that our hearts are dialed - through daily Scripture study and communion with Jesus.  Romans 12:2, Psalm 119:9-11.  In so doing, a heart and mind tutored by the Spirit of God is better able to discern.  Be careful who you give a listening ear to - we like the Corinthians accept false teaching “easy enough”.  Beware of ANYONE who preaches a Gospel other than the one already preached.  We don’t need a freshened up, newer, more seeker friendly Gospel.  These are warning signs. THE Gospel is miraculous enough!!!

Paul uses himself as an example of a life’s walk that adds up with his talk.  Here is “The List”, of some of what Paul has gone through for the cause of Christ.  Check out vs 23-29.

Love you all!  Dig in!
