1 Corinthians 10

Good Morning “Strong Under Temptation.”  Check out 1 Corinthians 10.

This chapter is jam packed!  Paul starts with warnings regarding sin and rebellion.  He uses Israel, Gods chosen, as an example.  Our world has attempted to make God into a God that never does anything that we deem bad - kind of God.  “My God would never…” Let’s be clear, there is ONE God - The God of the Bible!  The Holy God of the Bible, must deal with sin, and will in this life or the next.  If He didn’t spare Israel He won’t spare us.  Only by Jesus is our sin payment paid!    He is the way, the truth and the life… period!

Regarding sin… through the Holy Spirit in us we are strong enough!  “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
“1 Corinthians‬ ‭10‬:‭13‬ ‭

We gotta fight!  Don’t be weak and take the easy way out!  Remember also, the way out Paul speaks of may involve using the brain He gave us!  Often the way out was offered way before we find ourself in the middle of the temptation!  Make good choices!

Lastly Paul revisits this responsibility we have to lead well and the warning against causing others to stumble by our sin.

““I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but not everything is constructive. No one should seek their own good, but the good of others.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭10‬:‭23‬-‭24‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, Greeks or the church of God—”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭10‬:‭31‬-‭32‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Love you all!  Dig in, know His Word so you can live and love by it!
