1 Corinthians 9

Good Morning “Runners for the Prize”.  Today 1 Corinthians 9

Paul became all things to all people that in so doing He might win some.  Does that mean he was a partaker in their sin?  Absolutely not!  Paul took the time to understand their world, where they were coming from, and the struggles they have.  Ministry is messy.  It’s nearly impossible to do without getting involved.  “Doing life” with people requires us to get into their lives.  That’s ministry that makes an impact.  Paul got it!

He also conditioned his body.  He understood that getting close to people was not beneficial if he fell into their sin.  So he conditioned, and kept his body under control.  How?  The Word of God!  He knew there was a prize to receive at the end - “Well done”!  He kept his eye on the prize.

“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.  1 Corinthians‬ ‭9‬:‭24‬ ‭NIV‬‬

As people, some of us are hard to love.  As we press into God, His love overflows through us.  Keeping your eye on the big picture, the prize, keeps you focused on the race!  Heaven is your reward!  Keep your eyes focused on Him!  Love well!

Love you all!  Dig in!
