Good Morning - NO Worriers, Gods got it! Check out Acts 23
Paul is on trial - before the Sanhedrin. The Sanhedrin had the power to pressure Paul’s death. They all wanted him dead. This Gospel of Grace he was preaching set people free! The religious leaders feared they were losing their power, for if the people followed Jesus they no longer would be easily manipulated by the religious leaders.
Paul orchestrates a dispute among the Pharisees and Sadducee’s to turn their attention away from him. It works!
“The dispute became so violent that the commander was afraid Paul would be torn to pieces by them. He ordered the troops to go down and take him away from them by force and bring him into the barracks. The following night the Lord stood near Paul and said, “Take courage! As you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome.” Acts 23:10-11 NIV
There’s a whole mob of other Jews that had already determined to kill him. More than 40 committed not to eat or drink until Paul was dead. That’s some commitment right there. Paul learns of the plot but isn’t rattled or discouraged in his purpose. Why would he be? God told him he had to also testify on Rome. He knew this would not be the end because God had plans he had not yet accomplished!
We too can take courage knowing Gods got a plan! His promises are real and they include us! You’ll have to dig in to see how Paul gets out of this one.
Love you all!
