Good Morning Redeemed. Take a look at John 19 today.
Jesus gets it done! He has successfully lived without sin. Fully God, and fully man He faced all the temptation we do and yet was without sin (Hebrews 4:15.) The need to temporarily cover sin by offering a blood sacrifice is over! The payment for sin has been paid in full - once and for all!
“When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.” John 19:30
Notice once again He gave up His Spirit, when He was ready, when all He was called to do was accomplished! Things were going to be different now! All that is left is the acceptance of His payment. We celebrate the resurrection of Jesus this Sunday - that IS the evidence His payment was accepted.
The cost was great, but The payment has been made. That payment however is not applied to our individual accounts until we receive it! We all understand what it means to receive a pay check. We also understand that unless we deposit that check it’s of no value to us.
This weekend really isn’t about bunnies and eggs. Give your life to Jesus. Receive His payment made on the cross for your sins.

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.”
