John 11

Good Morning “Empathizers of the Hurting.”  Today John 11.

“Jesus wept.”  John‬ ‭11‬:‭35‬ ‭NIV‬‬

The shortest verse in all of Scripture says so much!  Jesus’ friend Lazarus has been dead 4 days, and his family and friends are destroyed.  It makes sense that Jesus is broken too.  Except, He has just arrived to raise Lazarus from the dead.  We know this, because He clearly stated that fact to the Disciples before He arrived.  So why does He weep when there is about to be celebration?

There is about to be - but right now they are all hurting.  He is hurting because they are hurting.  Their pain is real!  Our pain is real and so He hurts when we hurt!  This God who hurts with us, in the ultimate demonstration of love, gave His life for us - that we too might live!  That’s love!  Big love!

Dig in and check it out!  It’s a great chapter!  Love you all!
