John 7

Good Morning “From the Word of God Learners and Teachers.”  Have a look at John 7.

Jesus made it clear that He was not teaching His own ideas.

“My teaching is not my own. It comes from the one who sent me. Anyone who chooses to do the will of God will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own. Whoever speaks on their own does so to gain personal glory, but he who seeks the glory of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him.”
‭‭John‬ ‭7‬:‭16‬-‭18‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Where does your teaching come from?  Is the teaching you are receiving founded in Scripture?  Or is it twisted?  What about when you share with others?  Are you Biblically grounded in the “Truth” you share, or do you find yourself babbling?

There is tremendous responsibility when it comes to handling the Word of God.  We don’t get to make it what we want it to be to advance our own agenda.  “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” 2 Timothy‬ ‭2‬:‭15‬ ‭NIV‬‬

James 3:1 reminds us to be careful.  “Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.”

“Ok… so I won’t share then.” NO, that’s not the answer either.  God created you to glorify Him, to make disciples, to be His witnesses!  The answer isn’t don’t do it.  Biblically the answer is, make sure you know what you’re talking about before you speak - that’s all!

Love you all!  Dig in, know the Word!
