Good Morning soft heart receivers of the things of Jesus. This morning we dig into Mark 6.
What did those closest to Jesus, the religious leaders, and even the disciples have in common? They just didn’t get it! Even after watching Jesus perform many miracles, cast out demons, calm the fierce storm in Mark 3, even feeding thousands with five loaves and 2 fish and picking up leftovers - they still don’t get it when He walks on water.
“Then He climbed into the boat, and the wind stopped. They were totally amazed, for they still didn’t understand the significance of the miracle of the loaves. Their hearts were too hard to take it in.”
Mark 6:52 NLT
I fear maybe sometimes we too are missing Jesus and where He’s working. We live in a world and at a time when it seems we can manufacture our own security, our own provision, we take credit for comforting one another and give credit for the love we feel to those around us. He is the source of it all! God is love, apart from God there is no love. He provides, He gives the talent and strength for us to make a living; He gives comfort, peace, life it’s self. He provides! He gives us every breath we take. Truly there is nothing that we have received that is not a gift from His hand! It’s all Him - He works in and through us to accomplish His good will! Don’t miss Jesus.
