Numbers 4

Good Morning “You Who, Could Be All You Could Be”.  Today we are in Numbers 4.

We get to read about those that were chosen and charged with preparing, handling and carrying the Tabernacle and its elements.  What a great honor!  They were hand selected by God for His good important work!

MERICA!!! It’s where we live!  The land of opportunity!  In the current state of our country where: entitlement reigns, 4 hour work days and 3 day work weeks are sought out, and “You’re blessed to have me” attitudes abound everywhere, I believe there is greater opportunity for success than ever.

Our students often hear me say, if they’ll show up to work on time, work hard for a full day each day, refrain from wining, and simply do their job well they’ll go straight to the top!  Why and how could I say something like that?  Because we now find ourselves in a different America.  Hard work, diligence, dependability, honor, and loyalty are hard to find.  Poor me attitudes are plentiful.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭23‬-‭24‬

Isn’t it funny how when you live Biblically it often also brings blessing secularly.  With enough hard work and the right attitude you could be a Doctor, or a Lawyer, an Engineer or a Marine Biologist.  You likely could work hard enough to become rich maybe even famous.  God willing - You could likely “Be anything you want to be!” But should you?

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah‬ ‭29‬:‭11‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Perhaps the question we should be asking is “Lord how do YOU want to use me, - “what are these “plans” you have for me.” You can be sure the career He has for you will position you to be able accomplish His Ephesians 2:10 “good work”.

Check: Jeremiah 33:3, Proverbs 3:5-6, Hebrews 13:20-21

Love you all!  Dig in!
