Merry Christmas Eve “Everything as Unto The Lord.” Today we are in Exodus 37.
The construction continues with the Arc, The Table, The Lampstand, and the Alter of Incense. I wonder what they were thinking as they labored? What was their attitude like? Were they building with a smile on their face and joy in their hearts or were they kicking rocks as they went about. Literally 2,000 lbs of gold was about to be hammered and fashioned into the Tabernacle and elements. Don’t forget all the silver, some 8,000 lbs. Although we read it simple enough, it was no ordinary task - all for Gods Glory.
All though we will never be called upon to fashion thousands of pounds of Gold and Silver into Elements for Worship. We worship God in everything we do… or at least it’s an opportunity to.
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”
Colossians 3:23-24 NIV
Paul says this after giving stern warnings referring to Israel’s sin. “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31 NIV
Tomorrow we celebrate the birth of our Savior Jesus. He is the reason, we have life eternal. Salvation through His blood. He is the reason we hope, the reason we love, and should be the reason for the joyful heart that we do all we do! It’s all because of His grace! Eph. 2:8-9, For God so loved the world that He gave us Jesus… John 3:16. Rom. 10:9
