Exodus 36

Good Morning “Generous Giver.”  Today we are in Exodus 36.

As we read through the construction of the Tabernacle it can become mechanical and seemingly void of application for us.  Don’t make that mistake.  Try to wrap your mind around just how big a feat this actually was.  They are living in the desert, in tents, without our modern tools.  They can’t simply run to Lowe’s and grab what they need for the framework, nor the fabric store for the curtains.  They are literally fashioning every bit, from what God had already blessed them with, using skill He supernaturally gave them.

What’s more, the success of the project STILL relied on their generosity which here in this moment demonstrates their faith.  God had already blessed with all the materials they needed when they left Egypt.  Overnight they went from slave to free, from have nots to having an abundance of wealth… but would they now be willing to give it back?  This is really quite a story.  In fact they were willing to bring as an offering what they had.  So much so, that Moses had to shut them down.

God calls us to His work.  He then equips with skill and provides the means, for the work - all through His people.  All through hearts in tune and acting in obedience to the Holy Spirits leading.  Talents, Abilities, Spiritual Gifts, Finances and even our Time are gifts from His hand.  They are given with purpose - kingdom purpose.  Are you using the gifts He’s given to you for the kingdom?  Don’t be afraid to be generous - you can’t out give God!

Love you all!  Dig in!
