Exodus 34

Good Morning “Reflectors of Gods Glory.”  Today we are in Exodus 34.

Back up on the mountain with stone tablets Moses goes.  God will reiterate His covenant with the people.  If you study both times on the mountain you will find some changes.  God will now demand the firstborn males of only that tribe of Levi. Since the Levite’s were the only ones to stand with Moses, they will be the only ones fit for Temple Service.

God keeps His promise to Moses and lets Moses see a sliver of His radiance. His radiance is indescribable.  So much so, that when Moses comes off of the mountain 40 days later he glows.  It freaks the Nation out.  Moses veils his face, but not to shield the glare.  It was to shield the fading glory according to Paul in 2 Cor. 3.  He didn’t want the nation of  Israel to see Gods Glory fading . It appears by the last verse that each time he went into the presence of The Lord he came back flowing.

Guess what?  According to Paul in 2 Corinthians 3:7-18 we too reflect the Glory of God through His Holy Spirit in us.  In fact we should be glowing brighter than Moses.  Check it out for yourself. His Glory on our face fades, like Moses, the longer we are away from God and the more we are about things other than Him.
Love you all!  Dig in!
