Good Morning “Already Sealed by The Spirit”. Today we dive into Revelation 7.
First a little review…
- John is in the Throne Room of Heaven witnessing the opening of the first 6 seals. The 6th seal resulted in Catastrophic Natural events and the inhabitants of the earth crying for the mountains to fall on them. That brings us to chapter 7.
“After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree.”
Revelation 7:1 NIV
The statement “After this” connects this passage back to the events that happened at the beginning of chapter 4 when it announced the end of the letters to the church and the arrival of the church in Heaven (The Rapture).
Chapter 7 actually happens congruently with Chapter 6. How do we know? The 4 angels are holding back the winds and are told NOT to harm the land or the sea which we saw last chapter with the opening of the 6th seal. Also, remember the 5th seal revealing the souls of those who were Martyred for their faith? They were given a white robe. Where did they come from? Any believers in Heaven up until then are in the body - either reunited or raptured. 1 Thess. 4:16-18 How did those martyred souls get to Heaven if there are no Believers left on Earth to share the Gospel with them?
The answer… The 144,000 Jewish Witnesses who are saved through Divine Revelation - during the Tribulation.
““Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.” Then I heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel.” Revelation 7:3-4 NIV
Sealed by the Holy Spirit, these will lead the greatest evangelist crusade ever seen - all across all the earth.
“After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.” Revelation 7:9 NIV.
There’s those “white robes” we saw after the opening of the 5th seal. So many, no one could count! All martyred for their faith, and in that, spared from the suffering of the remainder of the Tribulation.
They are not Believers at the time of the Rapture. By Gods Grace, He sends the 144,000, and they become believers during the 2nd chance - the Tribulation. Rev. 7:14
And all in Heaven worshiped Him! “And He will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
If you know Jesus you are already sealed! There is no Tribulation for you. Tell someone else! If you’re not… why not? Reach out let’s talk.
