Hebrews 9

Good Morning “No Judgment Facers.”  Today we are in Hebrews 9.

The writer continues to discuss the duty of the High Priest, the organization of the Earthy Tabernacle and the Holy of Holies or most Holy place.  He further compares the High Priest and Jesus - our High Priest.

Once a year the High Priest entered into the Holy of Holies with a blood sacrifice leading the way, as an offering to temporarily cover his sin and the sins of the people committed in ignorance.
As Jesus gave up His Spirit at the moment of His death He put an end to this ordinance - even the need for it.

“And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭27‬:‭50‬-‭51‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Jesus blood shed on the Cross, conquered sin and death once and for all.  Furthermore, it is no longer necessary for a High Priest to enter the Holy of Holies for us.  The veil in the temple was torn signifying we can come directly to Jesus - on our own.  Hebrews 5:16

Apart from Jesus we will face judgment for our sin.  Only His blood can pay the price.  “The payment for sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus.” Romans 6:23

“Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭9‬:‭27‬-‭28‬ ‭NIV‬‬

When those who have received Jesus see Him, it will not be for Judgment, but to realize our salvation.

Loving Hebrews for sure!  Are you?  Keep digging!
