Good Morning “Thoroughly Equipped.” Today we are in 2 Timothy 3.
Paul gets real right from the get go! He lays out a whole list of things that describe a world primed for Jesus’ return. The world and its people are changing - fast! Check it out. Do you think we’re there yet?
They have a form of Godliness but deny its power. They know the Truth but it does not inform the way they live. They talk it but they don’t walk it? Do you see it? Is that you?
Our reminder comes at the end of the chapter.
“But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
2 Timothy 3:14-17 NIV
You want to KNOW Him, and KNOW you are secure? You want to be well prepped for anything? Want to really be used by the God of all creation for amazing stuff! Gods in the business if using broken, humble, willing tools… not necessarily those with no preparation.
