Good Morning “Holy Hands Lifted Prayer Warriors.” Today we get some instructions on worship from 1 Timothy 2.
Paul gives Timothy some instructions for the church, some for men and some for women. Remember the church in Ephesus was twisted up… Paul’s giving Timothy instructions to get them back on track. Check it out it all starts with prayer.
“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”
1 Timothy 2:1-4 NIV
We've got to be people of The Word and people of prayer. Notice who we're praying for. All people? Yes even those we don't get along with, but also for kings and authorities. In our World that means our government - All of those who have been given authority over us by God according to Romans 13. We may not agree with, or be of the same party affiliation as our some of our government leaders but we should never cease praying for them. We can always pray that God direct their hearts! We can pray that they might receive well Godly counsel, know and apply The Truth of Gods Word.
There's much more in this chapter. Some highly debated and even controversial. Check it out. Dig in! Know the Word!
Love you all!
