Ephesians 4

Good Morning “Prisoners of the Lord… “ by choice.  There is so much in Ephesians 4!!! You gotta check it out!

Paul’s about to blow their sandals off with instruction regarding their obedience.  He gets right to it!

“As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭1‬ ‭

Then he goes on to explain what that should look like.

Within all of the Spiritual gifts He has given, He gave  some gifts of equipping.  “So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭11‬-‭12‬

To what end?  For what purpose?  That the Body of Believer’s might grow up -  mature in their faith, together.  The Holy Spirit is the Teacher - no doubt about it!  Some have been gifted to facilitate the process.

“Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭14

We’ve gotta be plugged in, we’ve gotta know The Word, if we are going to have any grounding by which to measure all the junk floating around our world.

The gifts we have received are not for ourselves but for each other and ultimately The Kingdom,  We all, with our individual gifts make up the Body.  When everyone does their part, the Body functions as it was designed.  When a part is lacking we struggle!

Paul has much more to say here - dig in, check it out!  Love you all!
