Good Morning “Blessers of Israel”. Today we are in Esther 9.
The Jews in Persia were doomed. Under Haman’s decree they would all be slaughtered including Ruth. Reminder - Satan has always purposed to destroy Gods people, even when there were just 2 (Genesis 3). God is on it, always many steps ahead of the evil ones plotting. Satan, and Haman his tool - were no match. That same movement continues today, still lead by the evil one.
“For such a time as this”… Esther was prepared, led by Mordecai, and placed right where she needed to be at just the right time to earn favor with the king and be the instrument God used to protect His people.
Here we see Haman’s plot turned on his own head. The Jews in Persia have not only been protected but liberated. Make no mistake when it comes to Israel, Gods covenant declaration is irrevocable. Esther is a great example of what happens when peoples / nations oppose Israel. Although Gods justice may seem delayed, it will not be absent.
“I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” Genesis 12:3 NIV
Because of Israel’s rebellion against Jesus, we as Gentiles have been given the offer of salvation… but God has not forgotten Israel as “Replacement Theology” asserts.
Speaking of Israel Paul says this…
“Again I ask: Did they stumble so as to fall beyond recovery? Not at all! Rather, because of their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel envious.” Romans 11:11 NIV
Paul continues with his explanation, I encourage you to read the whole chapter. He finishes his statement like this…
“I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in, and in this way all Israel will be saved. As it is written: “The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob. And this is my covenant with them when I take away their sins.” As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies for your sake; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs, for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable. Just as you who were at one time disobedient to God have now received mercy as a result of their disobedience, so they too have now become disobedient in order that they too may now receive mercy as a result of God’s mercy to you. For God has bound everyone over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all.” Romans 11:25-32 NIV
Seems clear, cut and dry. Bottom line… Pray for Israel’s repentance, support Her. You do NOT want to stand against Her. God has NOT forgotten Her.
Love you all! Dig in!
