Esther 5

Good Morning “Mercy and Grace Finders.”  Today we are in Esther 5.

As we continue to read the story of Esther I can’t help but think of the parallels in this story.  While the “evil one” looks to destroy us, we have One who sits on the throne that, because of our sin - we are not worthy to approach.

Yet, He loves us so much that He invites us to.  First He invites us to reconcile our relationship with Him through the blood of Jesus (John 3:16, 2 Corinthians 5:20-21).

Esther had a relationship with the king that provided her favor with him - and allowed her to approach.  Our God invites us to approach Him in our time of need.  “We do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”Hebrews‬ ‭4‬:‭15‬-‭16‬ ‭NIV‬‬ This is the miracle of The Gospel of Jesus.

We’ve all sinned and fallen short (Romans 3:23).  The natural consequence, payment for our sin, is spiritual death - separation for eternity from God.  But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus (Romans 6:23).  We did nothing to earn it or qualify for it. Even while we are still sinners Jesus died for us (Romans 5:8).  Action always accompanies true belief.  If we believe in our heart that Jesus is Lord then there will be associated action such as confessing with our mouth (Romans 10:9).  Repentance will also accompany true belief - as we turn away from our sin and toward God (2 Corinthians 5:17).  Then… we are no longer condemned to a Godless eternity (Romans 8:1).

If you do not have confidence that you can approach the King of Kings.  If the relationship isn’t there… reach out.  I’d love to help.

Love you all!  Dig in!
