Joshua 17

Good Morning “Faith Multiplied”.  Today we are in Joshua 17.

There is purpose in everything we go through.  Joshua has been through a lot and conquered alot of ground.  By Gods own Word, Joshua is old, very old (Joshua 13:1) - but there is still much land to conquer.  From the time he took over for Moses, Joshua has been reminded repeatedly… “”Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua‬ ‭1‬:‭9‬ ‭NIV‬‬

When we go through struggle, experience Gods hand of protection and provision, and strengthen our faith through it all… what we we supposed to do with it?

Jesus set the example for us.  The model we see through Him begins with “Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”  Matthew 4:19  Then, we see Jesus loving and ministering to others, then including the disciples in the ministry, then in Acts 1:8 passing the ministry on to them.  Tag… you’re it!

In this chapter the tribes of Joseph were doubtful.  Their belief they could conquer those remaining in the land they had been given was  lacking.  As I pointed out, Joshua has been through a lot.  What does he do with his emboldened faith?  Check it out… ”But Joshua said to the tribes of Joseph—to Ephraim and Manasseh—“You are numerous and very powerful. You will have not only one allotment but the forested hill country as well. Clear it, and its farthest limits will be yours; though the Canaanites have chariots fitted with iron and though they are strong, you can drive them out.” Joshua‬ ‭17‬:‭17‬-‭18‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Joshua takes the faith he’s been given and encourages them!  One of the reasons we go through things, is to prepare us to encourage others who will go through things.  ”Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.“
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬-‭5‬

Love you all!  Dig in!
