Joshua 16

Good Morning “New Creations”.  Today we are in Joshua 16.

Here we get a reminder of a principle we’ve talked about before.  By Grace Jesus has paid the price for our sin.  Through Him and the washing of the Holy Spirt that dwells in us, we have been made new creations (Titus 3:5, Galatians 2:20).

Paul said …”continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.“
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭12‬-‭13‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I believe he’s talking about the process of kicking out our old inhabitants so that we may grow up in Christ.  Choosing to hang on to old sin, revisiting it occasionally, never ends well.  We CANNOT make our old temptations our slave either.  It simply doesn’t work.  In this battle between our Spirit and Flesh… we will lose.

God was clear… kick them ALL out!  Yet, as we will see compromises were made.

”They did not dislodge the Canaanites living in Gezer; to this day the Canaanites live among the people of Ephraim but are required to do forced labor.“
‭‭Joshua‬ ‭16‬:‭10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Love you all!  Dig in!
