Good Morning “Just Getting Started.” Today we are in Joshua 13.
Have you grown weary of your Christian walk and service to The Lord? It can be easy to begin to think so… unless we remind ourselves our strength comes from the Lord. He has told us that we are in process. He will continue the molding and making process, using us along the way, until Jesus comes back for us (Philippians 1:6). That means He’s NOT done with us until we breathe our last breath.
Joshua is tired. He’s conquered alot of land and many kings. God takes a turn in these next couple chapters to all the work yet to be done. God acknowledges Joshua’s age, but reminds him, he can still do it. Gods still got it! So He can still use Joshua. Our world can be exhausting! ”Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.“ Isaiah 40:30-31 NIV
Notice in that passage there is no limiting age, just acknowledgment that even youths get tired. When God has the plan, and supplies the power, all He lacks is our willing participation. We tap into His power when we align ourselves with His plan by becoming more like minded with Him. Spending time with Him in The Word and walking with Him daily through life as He proves Himself faithful - will strengthen our faith!
Our station may change as we grow older, but our call to service never does. He’s got this, and that, and that, and that too! Are you still willing? “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9
Love you all! Dig in!
