Deuteronomy 34

Good Morning “Seers with more than your eyes.”  Today we are in Deuteronomy 34.

There has been no prophet like Moses since.  No prophet has performed works by Gods power such as Moses.  He led the nation of Israel faithfully for more than 40 years… but He was not perfect.  Because of His sin, He would not enter the promised land.

What a picture, as Gods representative, anything short of perfection meant Moses was out.  Joshua, the representative of Grace would lead them in.  Short of perfection, and no one is perfect, (Roman’s 3:23) there is no place for us in “The Promised Land” - Heaven.  But wait, Jesus the One of Grace has made a way for us -!if we but accept it!

God took Moses to the top of the mountain one last time.  He showed Him the fruit of His labor - the entire promised land.  At first this may seem cruel, but check it out… you can’t see the entire promised land from Mount Nebo.  In fact it’s physically impossible.  In fact Moses by Gods Grace was the only one to see the entire land.  The nation of Israel would never actually conquer it all.

Joshua would take the baton and lead them in!   Moses got to experience something very special in his last moments.  Special I believe because He could see with more than just his eyes!  Moses was brimming over with faith!

Not unlike Moses - We are called to die to ourselves so that others may live.  (Luke 9:23, John 11:25) Everyday a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1).  So that, we will be the firstborn of many brothers.  (Romans 8:29-30)

God had a purpose in making you!  (Jeremiah 29:11, Ephesians 2:10) It may just be bigger than you have ever imagined or yet seen.  Maybe just maybe it takes more than eyes to see it! (Hebrews 11:1)

Love you all!  Dig in!
