Numbers 33

Good Morning “Wise Choice Makers.”  Today we are in Numbers 33.

After reading the “trip log” of the nation of Israel as recorded by Moses, don’t miss the in your face application for us.

Israel was to drive out ALL the inhabitants of Canaan as they took the “Promised Land”.  God tells them straight up, ”But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land, those you allow to remain will become barbs in your eyes and thorns in your sides. They will give you trouble in the land where you will live.“
‭‭Numbers‬ ‭33‬:‭55‬ ‭NIV‬‬

This reminds me of 1 Corinthians 15:33 “Do not be misled, bad company corrupts good character.”  Who we spend time with and what we surround ourselves with MATTERS.  They will, it will, change us!  Don’t deceive yourself by believing you’re strong enough - you’re NOT.  Scripture warns us of that very thing.  If we’re not strong enough in the moment then it’s essential we be smart enough beforehand.  Make wise choices before you find yourself in the midst of temptation or change.

As we read on we’ll see Israel did NOT drive them all out, and… it’s going to result in big problems for Israel!  Israel was NOT smarter than God.  Neither are we!  He gives us warnings for a reason.

This actually works both ways.  When we surround ourselves with people heading the direction we need to go and participate in things that Glorify God - guess what, we are influenced positively.  Why do you think we see so much spiritual grown on mission trips?

This isn’t rocket science, but the key is humbling ourselves and realizing we “don’t got it”.  We think we do, but we don’t!  Gods got it!  So heed His Word!  Make wise choices accordingly!

Love you all!  Dig in!  Know The Word!  Live The Word!
