2 Chronicles 13

Good Morning “Underdogs.”  Today we are in 2 Chronicles 13.

Rehoboam’s dies, Abijah becomes king.  Jeroboam is King of Israel but off track with The Lord. Abijah wages against Jeroboam and defeats his superior army by calling out to God for help. Israel was severely weakened after this defeat, and Jeroboam died not long after.

Probabilities, odds, strategies, and proportions are meaningless to God when He’s about to accomplish His will!

Gods in the business of glorifying Himself through those committed to Him.  Feel inadequate, unprepared, unworthy?  Great, you’re in just the right position to be used by God!  Humility is what He seeks.

Abijah was out-manned and out-maneuvered, but his devotion to The Lord outweighed it all!  

Don’t you think God can do the same thing today?  Jesus is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow (Hebrews 13:8)!  Can He not still tip the balances of power and secure victories for His saints over seemingly insurmountable forces of evil?

I have shared this quote before but love it and endeavor to be that man also: While in England D.L Moody heard evangelist Henry Varley say, “The world has yet to see what God can do through a man who is totally yielded to Him. By Gods help, I aim to be that man.”

Regarding ministry Paul said this:
“I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”
