Good Morning “Marathon Runners”. Today we are in 2 Chronicles 5.
It took 7 1/2 years for Solomon to complete The Temple. After furnishing it, and bringing in the Ark of The Covenant and placing in it The Holy of Holies - with worship and praise we read this…
“Then the temple of the Lord was filled with the cloud, and the priests could not perform their service because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the temple of God.”
2 Chronicles 5:13-14 NIV
We are The Temple of The Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19), under construction - being crafted by God Himself. From the moment we receive Jesus payment for our sins - God begins molding and making us into the person He desires us to be. “being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6 NIV
“Until the day of Christ Jesus”… thats a lifetime construction project. Wow we must be really messed up. As long as we’re still breathing, until Jesus comes back to get us, we are still growing spiritually. We play a part definitely. We must resist the devil and the things of this world and submit to God. James puts it simply in James 4. Check it out. We are inherently selfish, sinful people distant from God. Submit and draw near and He promises to transform us.
