2 Kings 25

Good Morning “Still Hopeful.”  Today we are in 2 Kings 25.

In this chapter we learn of the fate of Judah after years of disobedience to God. Through the Prophet Isaiah God said Babylon would attack.   Under the command of Nebuchadnezzar, here they come to destroy Jerusalem and strip the Temple of almost everything that made it significant. Zedekiah and the people of Judah were taken captive to Babylon, where they would remain for several decades of God-ordained exile.

Israel wanted a king so they could be like all the other nations.  God, was not king enough for them - they thought they needed more.  This whole thing did not work out so well, did it.  Is there any hope for Israel?  You bet!  The Whole Bible is a story about the King of Kings, Lord of Lords - Jesus!  If only they would put their complete hope in God.

If only we would find our complete hope in Jesus instead of Jesus + whatever.  He IS indeed all we need.  He is enough!  He is sufficient.

Love you all!  Dig in!
