2 Kings 7

Good Morning “Believers in Gods Grace.”  Today we are in 2 Kings 7.

Israel was starving.  Samaria, the capital city of the kingdom of Israel, was under siege by the Syrians.  Elisha prophesied that God would bring deliverance to the city. The prophesy was fulfilled the next day. When 4 men with leprosy tried to surrender themselves at the Syrian camp, they found the camp deserted. God had miraculously caused the Syrian army to retreat, by producing the sound of chariots attacking.  Thus, in His Grace He saved the residents of Samaria from starvation.

What a story.  The lepers were ready to throw themselves on the mercy of the Syrian army believing their only fate was death.  What they received instead was Mercy and Grace from The Lord.  The Captain on the other hand scoffed at Elisha’s prophecy and he experienced death instead of Grace.

Truth is without the Grace of God, the offer of Salvation through Jesus, death is all any of us can hope for - death its self is the least of our worries.  For those who believe, however; Grace abounds!  What if our response was the same as the Leper’s… we can’t keep this Grace to ourselves!  We must tell EVERYONE!

Love you all!  Dig in!
