Good Morning “Realizers that the World Falls Short.” Today we are in 2 Kings 5.
Naaman had it all, in his world - highly esteemed, commander, all dialed in… except for the Leprosy. God does what God needs to do to keep us close and remind us that the world falls short… way short.
We can draw application from Naaman’s reminder for sure. Additionally check out Elisha’s humility - more lesson there. Elisha is humble taking no credit for himself in healing Newman, but instead giving glory to God.
What about this snake Gehazi? He purposes to come across like he’s looking out for Elisha’s interest. While somehow discounting the fact that his master literally communes with God, he somehow believes he’s gonna pull a fast one and benefit from the whole healing situation. He’s looking to monetize Gods Grace. Bad idea! That earns him Naaman’s Leprosy.
Take note. Gods Grace is for His Glory.
Love you all! Dig in!
