1 Kings 16

Good Morning “People Called By His Name.”  Today we are in 1 Kings 16.

Did your heart sink as you read this chapter?  I found myself almost in a state of sickness - mourning as I read it.  Sinful King after Sinful King in Israel… as bad as, or worse than the one before.  You can almost feel Israel’s decent.  Perhaps because it hits  so close to home.

Is there hope for Israel?  What will turn them around?  The same question lies pregnant in the air regarding us and the US.  As we witness the decent of our nation, what will turn it around.  The right king?  Is that the answer?  God has something to say about “The Way back.”

“if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles‬ ‭7‬:‭14‬ ‭NIV‬‬

It appears restoration begins with humble repentance of the individual believer… the one in the mirror.

Any nation who trusts in the Word of the Lord will find stability, but even nations founded on the Word of the Lord will lose their stability if they depart. A nation is the sum of the individuals that make it up. If we want to see our nation return to The Lord, we must personally do so, as if our lives and the lives of our children depended on it - because they do.

Not simply nodding our heads and declaring “I am a Christian”, but living It, praying and seeking His Word. As our Zeal for The Lord and His Way are displayed, we must plead with others to join us for The Time is near!  Revival will not be leveraged from a stage or platform. Revival begins with you and me pursuing the written Word and sharing the Living Word, Jesus. (John 1:1-14)

Love you all!  Dig in!
