1 Kings 6

Good Morning “Temples of The Living God.”  Today we are in 1 Kings 6.

The precision, the care, the exactness by which Solomon builds the Temple of God, reminds me of Psalm 139 specifically “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.” Psalms‬ ‭139‬:‭13‬ ‭NIV‬‬

God exactly fashioned us each one, stitch by stitch, cell by cell in our mother’s womb. We were created in Christ Jesus, with good works prepared in advance for us to do.  

It’s interesting that God gave Solomon a Word, about the time he competed the exterior of the Temple.  â€œâ€œAs for this temple you are building, if you follow my decrees, observe my laws and keep all my commands and obey them, I will fulfill through you the promise I gave to David your father " 1 Kings‬ ‭6‬:‭12‬ ‭NIV‬‬.  We're pretty proficient at looking good on the outside.  Typically getting the inside of The Temple right requires more work.  

“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭6‬:‭19‬-‭20‬ ‭NIV‬‬
