2 Samuel 10

Good Morning “Those Who Desire The Lords Plan.”  Today we are in 2 Samuel 10.

Opposition to David’s Kingship continues - much like opposition to the One True King.  One day the battle will come to an end… but until then, consider the foolishness of opposing Jesus.

Joab, no doubt tutored by David, understood that God had the ultimate plan.  He encouraged his men to give their all.  He understood that serving God, by serving His anointed was their responsibility.  The victory, however, was in Gods hands.

“Be strong, and let us fight bravely for our people and the cities of our God. The Lord will do what is good in his sight.””
‭‭2 Samuel‬ ‭10‬:‭12‬ ‭NIV‬‬

I cannot wrap my mind around opposition to The One who holds our lives, and eternity in His hands.  We have no excuse - His existence is unarguable, and His blessings are undeniable.  God has revealed Himself to all universally (Romans 1:18- ).  Furthermore apart from the world’s “smoke and mirrors” we all know The Truth! (Romans 2:14-15)

The Psalmist says it like this:
“Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed, saying, “Let us break their chains and throw off their shackles.” The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them. He rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath, saying, “I have installed my king on Zion, my holy mountain.””
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭2‬:‭1‬-‭6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Love you all!  Dig in!
