Isaiah 56

Good Morning “Sabbath Keepers.”
Today we are in Isaiah 56.

“This is what the Lord says: “Maintain justice and do what is right, for my salvation is close at hand and my righteousness will soon be revealed. Blessed is the one who does this— the person who holds it fast, who keeps the Sabbath without desecrating it, and keeps their hands from doing any evil.”” Isaiah‬ ‭56‬:‭1-2‬ ‭NIV‬‬

His return and ultimate realization of Salvation is close at hand.  The Rapture, Tribulation and Millennial Kingdom, as prophesied here will be at hand before we know it.  The offer, first to the Jew as we saw last chapter, and now to the Gentile - all others.  Salvation, forgiveness of sins, righteousness through Jesus is available to ALL who believe! (Romans 3:23, 6:23, 5:8, 10:9, John 3:16, John 1:13). Amen!  What is Gods expectation in exchange?

“Maintain justice” - the believer ought to be about what is right and just.  Our governments are now the administers of Gods wrath to bring about His justice (Romans 13:1-5).  Thus, we have a responsibility to be careful and diligent to elect those that will govern Biblically even now in this time - or we fail.  We ought to respond justly regarding the sin in our own lives - putting it out, putting it to death. The day will come when as believers we will rule with Him - “maintaining justice”.

“Do what is right” - “Right”, according to His Word.  The expectation is for believers in the Millennial Kingdom, and even now; to seek righteousness, live rightly, no longer offer our bodies as members for sin (Romans 6:12-13, 1 Peter 1:15-16). So paramount is righteousness to God that He’s given us Jesus.  By His Holy Spirit He has freed us from the bondage of sin, and given us the power to overcome sin (Romans 6:6-7, 17-18).

Keep the “Sabbath” -  On the 7th day God rested, (Genesis 2:2) but not because He was tired.  He modeled for us all a day in which Israel ought to center on Him, recognizing ALL He has done, setting aside their work, to recognize He is the one who provides it ALL - even through their hands.  Although the “Sabbath” Law is not reiterated in the New Testament, it will be reinstated, together with Temple worship - in the Millennial Kingdom.  Until then we ought to keep its focused intent always in mind. We are to worship Him, and Him ALONE - demonstrating our trust in Him by offering not just our time, or our work, but ourselves as a living sacrifice.   All of ourselves.  All for Him!

No line walking.  No one foot in one foot out.  No holding back parts of our lives - but laying it all at His feet.  He is Lord of ALL… He only asks that we live like it.  Romans 12:1-2

Love you all!  Dig in!
