Good Morning “Kneelers”. Today we are in Ezekiel 39.
Yesterday’s Devo might have left you with more questions than answers. If you are still confused as to which Ezekiel War View you hold, the rest of the prophecy, described in today’s chapter may serve to narrow it down.
There will come a day when God gathers the remnant of Israel back unto Himself. We know that day happens at the beginning of the 1000 year reign of Christ, The Millennial Kingdom. Ezekiel 39:25 clearly states that restoration happens after. The Ezekiel War time, and the 7 year period that is included in that, has passed “Now I will restore…”
“Therefore thus says the Lord God: Now I will restore the fortunes of Jacob and have mercy on the whole house of Israel, and I will be jealous for my holy name.” Ezekiel 39:25 ESV
This single passage seems to shoot down at least all but the Pre, Mid and End of Tribulation Views I mentioned yesterday. The interlude view is easily dispelled because that interlude is only 75 days (Daniel 12:11-12)… not enough time. So that narrows it down to 3 views. But, we still must deal with the 7 years of burning… it can’t spill over into the Millennial Kingdom for a number of reasons.
In and through it all God is glorified! All will know that He is Lord! Always has been! Every knee will bow to Him. Even now, we can acknowledge that fact or not… doesn’t change the fact that He IS! (Psalm 93:1, Isaiah 45:5-6, Psalm 99:2, Acts 2:36, 1 Corinthians 8:6, Philippians 2:9-11).
