Ezekiel 45

Good Morning “Heaven Bound.”  Today we are in Ezekiel 45.

“This land is my land… it ain’t your land… I got a shot gun… you ain’t got one…”

If you want to start a fight in The Middle East, just ask who truly owns the land.  In fact land discussions, property line disputes, where to put up a fence talks can get ugly in a hurry - anywhere in the world.

When you talk about Israel and the “Promised Land” however; disputes ought to be taken up with GOD!  You know, THE ONE Who created it ALL from NOTHING.  The One Who promised it, and gave it to Israel (Genesis 15:18-21, Joshua 1:4, Joshua 21:43-45)  The One Who will restore the land to Israel once again  (Ezekiel 36:24-28).
Discussion over…

Being reminded of this Truth must have brought incredible encouragement to exiled Israel who had their land and homes taken from them.

But what of us Gentiles?  This prophecy ought also encourage us, those grafted in (Romans 11:11-31), for God has neither forgotten Israel, nor has He forgotten us.  He KEEPS His promises!  He doesn’t change His mind (Malachi 3:6).  One day we true “believers” too, will share in the heavenly inheritance of Jesus (Romans 8:17).

This all will pass away.  The land we hope and wait for is the New Jerusalem.  That ought to free us up to worship The Author of it all freely, focused on THAT heavenly promise (Matthew 6:19-21, Hebrews 12:1-3).

Love you all!  Dig in!
