Hosea 7

Good Morning “Ready for Healing”.  Today we are in Hosea 7.

Yesterday we talked about acknowledging our sin, not sweeping it under the rug, discounting or denying it.  God through Hosea starts chapter 7 by reminding us all… He desires restoration, and healing with His children.  Unfortunately, as He reached for Israel she ran further away, embracing her sin even further.  Gods faithfulness shined an even brighter light on Israels rebellion.

“When I would have healed Israel, Then the iniquity of Ephraim was uncovered,…”
‭‭Hosea‬ ‭7‬:‭1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Israel was determined to do it her way.  Even when they struggled, and needed protection or provision they did not turn back to God but instead turned to sinful nations.  God snatches them back.  Don’t miss His love and grace in that
(Hosea‬ ‭7‬:‭11‬-‭12‬).

Every authority, government or other, is instituted by God.  Government has NO power except that which God gives it.  How silly it is for a believer to turn to our governments for answers, provision, help while ignoring the sustainer and provider of it all.  Yet, at times we do.  It’s like… instead of humbling ourselves, acknowledging, repenting and asking forgiveness of our sins we double down with “I can do this on my own”.  I’ll find another way than reconciliation with The Lord.  Ha ha, there really is no other Way.

“I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” Psalms‬ ‭121‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Love you all!  Dig in, and live it out!
