Jonah 3

Good Morning “Simply Willing”.  Today we are in Jonah 3.

What a difference being tossed overboard made in Jonah’s life.  We get to see the fruit of Gods discipline in his life.  Remember Gods goal is always our repentance, and obedience thus bringing Him glory and positioning us for His use.
“Jonah obeyed the word of the Lord and went to Nineveh.”
‭‭Jonah‬ ‭3‬:‭3‬aNIV‬‬

In obedience Jonah carried Gods Word to the same pagan gentile people he once refused to go to.  The result…
“The Ninevites believed God. A fast was proclaimed, and all of them, from the greatest to the least, put on sackcloth.”
‭‭Jonah‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not bring on them the destruction he had threatened.”
‭‭Jonah‬ ‭3‬:‭10‬ ‭

In the early 1870’s a man named Henry Varley told D.L. Moody “The world has yet to see what God can do with a man fully consecrated to Him" Upon hearing that statement, Moody reportedly resolved to be THAT MAN, believing God could use anyone fully surrendered to Him.

Moody became a pivotal 19th-century American evangelist, publisher, and educator who revolutionized modern evangelism. He preached to over 100 million people, founded Moody Bible Institute and Moody Publishers, and established influential schools, focusing on simple, urgent gospel messages to win souls.  His ministry focused on total commitment rather than just ability.

God can do incredible, amazing - even miraculous stuff through the one who is simply willing!  Jonah was willing.  Scripture is filled with stories of others who were also willing.  Moody was willing too… how about you?

Love you all!  Dig in and live it out!
