Good Morning “Fireproof”. Today we are in Daniel 3.
This chapter gives us the story of Nebuchadnezzar’s 12 story gold image, the fiery furnace, and Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.
The king so wanted everyone to worship the image he created that he issued a decree… when the alarm sounds “Whoever does not fall down and worship will immediately be thrown into a blazing furnace.” Daniel 3:6 NIV
Pretty simple right? Seems that way for most of the people. However remember these boys are solid! Their faith in The One True God doesn’t waver! The king finds out they refuse to worship his image…
Nebuchadnezzar said to them, “Is it true, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, that you do not serve my gods or worship the image of gold I have set up?”
Daniel 3:14 NIV If this is true, I’m tossing you in… then what god can save you (That last sentence is a paraphrase).
Once again, facing death, check out their response…
“If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand.” Daniel 3:17 NIV
They DON’T worship the image - and the king has the fire cranked up 7 times hotter. In fact it was so hot, the men who through them in were killed by the fire. You have to read, or reread the story for yourself! God is able!!! This story is especially meaningful to me. This story is the only explanation for how I lived through a horrible accident nearly 11 years ago. IYKYK
Gods response to unwavering faith is incredible! It inspires even the hardest hearts to proclaim His Name!

“Therefore I decree that the people of any nation or language who say anything against the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego be cut into pieces and their houses be turned into piles of rubble, for no other god can save in this way.” Daniel 3:29 NIV
