Good Morning “His Sheep”. Today we are in John 10.
We live in a dark world whether we admit it or not. Our job is to light it up, demonstrate for our dark world that there is a better way! That Way is following Jesus. He promises life to the full (John 10:10). That doesn’t mean free from struggle or suffering, but FULL. That’s only possible through Jesus and His Spirit who fills us up with His Fruit - THE REAL STUFF that the world only falsely and temporarily provides (Galatians 5:22-25).
But, it does not end there…
“I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”” John 10:28-30
Every horrible thing we see in this world is the result of sin and the consequence of sin - either ours or someone else’s. How we look at it all and navigate through it all correlates directly to our World View. Is this all there is? Or, is this life just a blink of an eye, a vapor (James 4:14).
There is only one way to The Father - it is through the Son. “Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
Do you know Him… Truly?
If so, rest assured that this world is not all there is! In fact Scripture calls us foreigners, this world is not our home (Hebrews 13:14; Philippians 3:20).
