Good Morning “Limitless Faith.” Today we are in Zechariah 8.
“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,”
Ephesians 3:20 NIV
What if we limit our prayers because of our lack of true Biblical maturity, and spiritual intimacy with our Savior - our God?
Walk with me here for a moment… imagine you are Moses, fleeing Egypt with Gods people. They’re bearing down on you but you’re keeping your distance. Oh man… The Red Sea. Now what? Would you have the faith to ask God to part the waters… so that you could walk through? How about the audacity to ask for dry land to escape on - not feet of mud and sludge and vegetation? Would you even “imagine” that to be the solution? Now everyone, millions, are thirsty… how about water from a rock. Would you ask? Hungry… food from heaven, raining down? These miracles are NOTHING for The One that breathed IT ALL into existence. Just think of what God has shown us through His Word! Do we believe It? We first have to know The Bible, and through It, Him - to believe it!
Judah had these historical Truths as well. Yet… Gods promises seemed nearly impossible to them (vs 6). Saving Judah from the West (those who believe Grace comes without accountability), and from the East (discipline without relationship) will be a piece of cake. In fact He will even bring true believers from each (vs 7). No generation, NO ONE can stand against Him.
Even when the world will seem to be a total loss, with The Anti-Christ ruling… He will “simply” begin to carry out His Plan. (Revelation 19). When He’s ready! In that day… He won’t rebuild Jerusalem brick by brick, but “simply” (yeah, for Him it’s simple) bring Jerusalem down from heaven (Revelation 21).
Does that seem far fetched? Would we ever think to pray something like that? Perhaps we need more personal time in His Word, growing to know Him intimately? Then and only then do our prayers begin to line up with His heart and mind (John 15:7)! Sometimes He answers without us even imagining to ask; but the intimate relationship allows us to participate in the process. Limitless!!!
