Isaiah 36

Good Morning “All In”.  Today we are in Isaiah 36.

Israel was divided - North and the South (Judah).  Even Judah was divided amongst themselves.  They “kind of” worshipped God, with ordinances based on Gods law, but halfheartedly.  They continued to intermingle other practices of false worship, of false gods.

Hence God used Assyria to judge them; correct them.  Arrogant Assyria discounted the ability of God to defend Judah.  Destroying Judah was NOT part of Gods plan.

Isaiah is reporting now, that the things prophesied are happening.  Hezekiah makes some of the same mistakes his evil father Ahaz made 20 years previously, yet, at least partially “got it”.

What are we to make of all of this?  Well consider the state of our nation.  We too are divided.  We too, even as a nation, like to claim we are One Nation Under God.  If we were truly a nation under God we would be a nation “one with God”as Jesus prayed in John 17.

Instead we remain divided at every turn.  We “kind of” worship The Lord, yet insist on holding back portions of our worship.  We exchange the Truth of God for a lie, and worship created things rather than the Creator (Romans 1:25)

Where do you stand?  In view of all of Gods mercy and Grace, what are you willing to offer?  It’s reasonable that we are “ALL IN”, living sacrifices, totally sold out and submitted to His Will, by His Word!  Not my will but yours be done.

Love you all!  Dig in!
