Good Morning “Those With No Self Pity.” Today we are in Job 7.
We’ve acknowledged the fact that our hearts break when we consider Jobs testing. 10 children gone. I cannot imagine losing 1. Though Ive walked through losing a child with others, and mourned their pain - I myself have not experienced something so hard. My mind can’t compute losing 10.
He also lost everything else except his wife. He had nothing left, not even his health. It wasn’t like Job had a cold… this was something all together different.
“My body is clothed with worms and scabs, my skin is broken and festering.” Job 7:5 NIV
What? How dare I ever feel sorry for myself. God is good! All the time! Few of us… if any within the reach of this message have ever experienced anything to the magnitude of Job. Perhaps if Jobs friends had sought to encourage him, he would have lamented less. We have all the reason in the world to Praise Him with thankful hearts - encourage others.
1 Chronicles 16:34
"Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever"
Psalm 28:7
"The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him"
Ephesians 5:18–20
"Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ"
1 Thessalonians 5:16–18
"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you"
Love you all! Dig in! Smile!
