Matthew 11

Matthew 11

Having sent out the 12 disciples to get to work, Jesus gets back at it - Teaching and Preaching.

He points out the kind of man John the Baptist is.  Not what you would expect, yet “Truly I tell you, among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet whoever is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.” Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭11‬ ‭John wasn’t who the people would have expected to usher in the Savior of the world.  Yet another reminder, God uses the unlikely, the humble, the willing!  Hey, that’s me!  Is it you too?

As He reflects on the places where He performed most of His miracles - we all get a stern warning as well.  How much Jesus do we need to witness before we repent of our sin, and turn fully to Him?  What will it take?

Are you spent?  Do you feel exhausted, weary… don’t pull away - draw close to Him instead!  He is the God who sees Genesis 16:13

““Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11‬:‭28‬-‭30‬ ‭NIV‬‬

He never promises it will be easy, but He does promise He’ll be there to carry your burdens - if we remain in Him.

Don’t take my word for it - soak it up yourself
